5 tips to up your game with your social media visuals

Gosh, if you are anything like me I love a good looking feed on social media, but something we can get be put in to panic mood with what to post or how to keep it consistent “on brand”. I really enjoy creating graphics but I’m not a graphic designer so I asked my good friend Kim from social digital designs to give us 5 points on how to get our visuals on point. I’m a big believer in creating your own images and quote tiles instead of sharing other peoples all the time. With the tips Kim gives us in this weeks blog you can set your self up to make your content creation flow or to make it even easy for you she has offered a awesome deal to take the pressure off your self and let an expert help you out.

check out her tips and special package just for my readers below.

Hello! My name is Kim and I am a graphic designer. My passion is helping entrepreneurs like you create beautiful unique social media designs that are tailored to your brand so you can stand out online without the struggle and endless hours that you encounter each week designing graphics that you aren’t happy with.

If you have an Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest that you want to up level – let’s make a start today!

  1. Include colour in your graphics. Visuals with colour increase people’s willingness to read a piece of content by 80%. But also remember to always stick to your branding colours to keep your brand and feed consistent.

2.Incorporating a strong visual presence on your social media posts helps you stand out from the thousands of other posts competing for attention in your followers’ news feeds. People will then start associating your brand with your visuals and you will become recognisable.

3.Incorporate text on top of your photos. By adding text over the top of your photo will help get your message across faster and get your audience to stop scrolling and stay on your pic!

4.Always ensure your graphics/photos are the correct size for the platform and the type of post you are posting for. To help you out, here is a quick Instagram image size and dimensions guide:

Instagram Photo Posts:

Landscape: 1080 x 608 px

Square: 1080 x 1080 px

Instagram Stories:

Landscape: 1080 x 608 px

Portrait: 1080 x 1920 px

Instagram Video Posts:

Landscape: 1080 x 608 px

Portrait: 1080 x 1350 px

 5. Lastly, always ensure your graphic/photos are of high quality. You want to create stunning visuals that will make your audience stop and think. Professionally finished graphics will make a difference to your socials and in turn your brand. If you are unsure about a certain visual, the chances are that your audience will also feel the same way. You want to make a good first impression and keep your audience/customers on your socials for longer.
